Network Support Specialist - Resolute Technology Solutions


Want an interesting and challenging career that you can be proud of? We are adding a Network Support Specialist to our Infrastructure Managed Services team. As part of the IMS team, you would provide superior technical support for Resolute and our clients. You will need to have a strong work ethic, a positive attitude and the ability to listen, allowing you to efficiently decipher client needs. What you will be responsible for:

• Operational support of network and firewall environments including, but not limited to the following: Respond to alerts and resolve incidents, Prioritize outstanding issues and manage user expectations, Escalate high priority issues using established guidelines
• Maintain WAN/LAN environment and firewalls, including internet services
• Effectively provide technical support within established KPI’s and SLA’s
• Manage infrastructure capacity planning and performance monitoring and make recommendations as needed
• Debug and resolve advanced hardware and software problems in a timely and efficient manner
• Execute patch management and security vulnerability maintenance
• Manage antivirus control software and security updates
• Manage client backup and recovery systems
• Respond to system security alerts and take corrective action as required
• Follow established Service Desk procedures for Level 2 and 3 support and update/follow ticket procedures
• Monitor and keep up with industry trends and new technology such as SaaS and Cloud Computing
• Participate in the evaluation and recommendation of new software/hardware products and services
• Install and maintain network/server infrastructure at client data centers
• Manages computer/network facilities including monitoring and response
• Build, assemble and configure hardware components
• Design and build a file-share security access models
• Adhere to standard operational and support procedures
• Develop and maintain infrastructure operational support documentation
• Assist with preparation of client deliverables including, but not limited to technical reports and presentations
• Assist with the creation of proposals for client engagements
• Support other RTS team members with knowledge sharing, brainstorming, coaching, collaboration, etc. as requested or required
• Demonstrate the principles of exceptional customer service with a focus on critical thinking and effective communication that supports anticipating customer needs
• Participate in change management strategies and plans used to promote adoption of the solution

What you bring to the table:

• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience supporting and maintaining network and firewall solutions with the last 2 years being at an intermediate to senior level
• Relevant certifications in the indicated technologies considered an asset
• Strong delivery record of satisfying business requirements with IT solutions
