Nicolette has spent her entire adult life studying communication. She started her career as a Sports Journalist, then eventually transitioned into the wonderful world of non-profits; and is now working with ICTAM as Marketing and Communication Coordinator. Her most recent academic undertakings - an M.A. in Communication for Social and Behaviour Change and a Diploma in Community Development - really sum up her passion: using communication effectively (and collaboratively) to create change.
When she isn't changing the world from her keyboard, she is volunteering in the Downtown/ WestEnd Community - as board member and Kid Swim Committee member at the Friends of Sherbrook Pool; board member and finance committee member at Wolseley Family Place; ad-hoc volunteer at Nine Circles Community Health Centre; Committee Member at St. Matthew's Non-Profit Housing - Neighbourhood Resource Centre Social Enterprise; and Team Member with Maximum Grace (a group that visits inmates at the Manitoba Youth Centre).
She's been blogging for more than a decade and currently curates content for her site "The GrownUp Millennial", and is also the host of the The GrownUp Millennial Podcast.
In her spare time, Nicolette enjoys long workouts at the Y, and reading books all day.
