Build Your Future. Learn to Code.
ICTAM, in partnership with ComIT, is pleased to offer youth ages 18-32 an opportunity to learn programming with Java, soft skills and professional development capabilities to better compete in today’s tech-focused labor market. ComIT is aimed specifically at young people to give them an edge for employment in information technology and other IT enabled sectors. The program is best for those who have completed high school and are unemployed at the time of enrollment. Preference will be given to recent immigrants, women and indigenous peoples.

When: June 5th – September 1st, 2017 • Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 6:00pm – 8:30pm
Where: Manitoba Institute of Trades & Technology (Henlow Campus - 130 Henlow Bay)
Cost: FREE. All interested participants must apply for the program scholarship. There are limited spots.

No prior programming knowledge is required. If you are motivated to learn and possess basic technical skills with an interest in Information Technology, then this could be for you!

About ComIT
We are working professionals from various disciplines (programmers, social workers, psychologists, human resource specialists and volunteers) with the goal of finding solutions to the problem of youth unemployment. We focus our efforts with the idea of participants obtaining skilled jobs with excellent projection and professional development.

Teamwork Seminar; during the first week of classes.
Resume Building Seminar; tips for review.
Strategic Job Searching Seminar; one 3-hour class reviewing online and offline job search channels.
Job Interview Seminar; one 3-hour theoretical-practical class.
