Reporting to the Manager, Application Development the Senior Developer is responsible for analyzing, designing, coding, testing and documenting moderate to highly complex programs to ensure optimal performance and compliance.
WHAT YOU WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Analysis, design, coding testing and documenting complex programs.
Experience mentoring and coaching peers
Assisting with systems components’ designs and participating in design reviews to improve quality.
Support tactical planning, development, evaluation and coordination of the information and technology systems.
Identifying, studying, learning and applying knowledge of new/ emerging software and hardware technologies, methodologies and products to participate in and support continuous improvement efforts.
Oversight of research, selection and recommendations of technology solutions that match the corporation’s business requirements.
Monitoring and maintaining applications’ performance and participating in systems improvement planning and implementation.
Participation in risk management as it relates to system security, backup and recovery policies, procedures and solutions.
REQUIRED SYSTEM KNOWLEDGE:
Net or Java experience
SOA (Service Oriented Architecture), RESTFUL service, SOAP, OData
Unit testing experience using XUnit framework
MVC, MVVM and Entity Framework
Experience using version control and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tool like Microsoft Team Foundation Server.
Continuous Integration (CI) systems.
Creating solutions with Microsoft SQL Services (SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS)
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
Minimum of 10 years of experience including exposure to both shared and outsourced solutions, as well as support of in-house information and communication systems in a multi-site environment.
Computer Programmer Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience in computer science, information systems, and mathematics.
Ability to analyze and resolve complex issues, both logical and interpersonal.
Self-motivator, independent, cooperative, flexible, and creative.
Experience with risk management as it relates to technology and information.
Demonstrated ability to translate business language to technology audiences.
Ability to link and apply complex technology solutions to business strategies
